This was new from Clemson's one week search to replace Oliver Purnell has stopped at Brad Brownell. The Wright State coach has agreed to succeed Purnell and will be introduced at a press conference on Tuesday.
Brownell was 84-45 in his four seasons with the Raiders, including an NCAA appearance in 2007. He also coached at UNC-Wilmington for four seasons and won 83 games.
Mississippi State coach Rick Stansbury was also considered, but he turned down the job on Monday.
